Day-wise Itinerary Details
  • Day 1, Bagdogra to Gangtok,123 km

     

    After you arrive at the terminal you will be welcomed by our driver who will help you to reach Gangtok (Sikkim’s capital), it will take four and a half hours. You can stop the car a per your need. Gangtok was established in the mid 19th century as a Buddhist pilgrimage site. Bhutias, Lepchas and Indian Gorkhas are the main inhabitants. After reaching check in to the hotel. At the evening you can visit the local town.

  • Day 2 , Gangtok – Tsomgu, Nathula, Babamandir

     

    This is the second day, on this day you will visit Tsomgu, Nathula, Babamandir after departing from Gangtok. As we complete the breakfast we will leave for Tsomgu Lake by 8 am, which is located at an elevation of 12400 feet and 15 meters deep. The chilled water in the lake drives down after the melting of snow.

    This lake is considered to be a sacred lake by the local people. In the ancient period, the future could be predicted by the Lamas after looking at the colour of the lake Over here you can experience the joy ride and the ropeway. Later that visit Babamandir located on the way to Nathula pass at a height of 15,000 ft. This Babamandir carries a very heart touching story about an Indian soldier. Nathula pass is subject to permit system where you need to pay extra cost. Night stay at Gangtok.

     

  • Day 3,Gangtok to Lachen with all sightseeing, (120.4 km)

     

    As you complete your breakfast by 8 am, you will leave for Lachen. Lachen is in North Sikkim and is a quaint village located amidst the magnificent Himalayas. On the way from Gangtok to Lachen you will spot the places like Lachen monastery, Seven sister falls, Naga falls. By evening you will reach Lachen.


    Dinner and night stay at Lachen.

     

  • Day 4: Lachen - Gurudongmar lake - Lachung

     

    In the morning you will have your breakfast by 8 am and then you will leave for Gurudongmar Lake which is at 66 k distance and will take two and a half hours. It is the highest lake in the world at an altitude of 5430 m. Lake is surrounded by snowcapped Himalayans mountain and the milky white water of the lake is the major source of river Tista. Then you will be driven to Lachung. Dinner and night stay at Lachung.

     

  • Day 5, Lachung -Yumthung valley-zero point -Gangtok

     

    Early morning breakfast, will be served to you and then you will leave for Yumthang valley. This is also known as the valley of flowers with a flowing river, grazing grounds for yaks in summer and yetis in winter. On the way back visit hot water spring which has natural medicinal value healing as it is rich in sulphur content. Zero-point is the next destination which is at an altitude of 15400 ft and most of the time it is covered with snow and Back to resort for lunch. After lunch departure for Gangtok. Dinner and night stay at Gangtok.

     

  • Day 6 ,Gangtok to Martam (18.6 km)

     

    Early morning after you complete your breakfast you will leave for Martam at 8 am. Martam ,the village resort in the east part of Sikkim .This area gives you the actual taste of local culture and delicious food. As you will reach there you will be traditionally welcomed at Martam homestay .From there you will be guided by a local guide for hike .During the time of hiking you will visit the local village and meet simple villagers and how ordinarily they spend their time.

    Then you walk into the forest and paddy field terraces. By afternoon our guide will be ready with your lunch at local villager’s house. Surely you will love the local taste. By four hours you will complete your hiking . In the evening you can drive to the world second largest KAGYO monastery Rumtek. Night stay at Martam.

     

  • Day 7 , Martam -Bagdogra(105 km)

     

    Today is the last day of your wonderful trip .After you have your breakfast you will leave for Bagdogra airport . During this this I hope you will enjoy a lot carrying numerous memories and experiences .

    Carry proper comfortable clothes including jackets and sweaters. Senior citizen above 65 years, infants below the age of 5 and people with breathing problem are not allowed to visit Gurudongmar Lake because of low oxygen .
